Poems of the Morrígan Project
Studio recordings of the poems of the Morrígan, in the original Old Irish as well as English translations. Includes a companion booklet in PDF format with texts and translations.
Each of these poems is included in the original Old Irish as well as English translation. The Prophecy to Cú Chulainn, from the text Táin Bó Regamna, has not been previously published in English translation to our knowledge and we are very excited to be bringing this poem to the community, with special thanks to Isolde Carmody for translation help.

Chants & Songs:
Three additional recordings of songs and chants connected with the Book of the Great Queen have been included:
Badb Catha – a devotional chant for Badb
Cathubodua – a devotional chant for the Gaulish war Goddess
Sid Co Nem – the Morrígan’s Peace Prophecy, arranged as a song to the traditional Irish melody of Fear a Bhata.
Poems and chants were voiced by Barbara Cormack, Amelia Hogan, Morpheus Ravenna, Rynn Fox, Scott Rowe, T. Thorn Coyle, Sharon Knight and Winter, and recorded at EMB Studios in Emeryville, California. Generous scholarly support for poem translations and pronunciation were provided by Isolde Carmody of the Story Archaeology Podcast, and P. Sufenas Virius Lupus of Aedicula Antinoi. We are grateful for their collaboration!
This recording was produced as a stretch goal of the Book of the Great Queen funding campaign on IndieGoGo, as the campaign far surpassed the basic publication costs we set as our initial goal. The Poems of the Morrígan project completed recording and mastering in January 2015.
