Runic spears are crafted with magical intention by Brennos, an experienced runeworker, using traditional materials and tools. Hand-carved in carefully chosen quality woods, they are finely polished and hand-finished with beeswax and natural oils. Runeforms are painted in with magically active pigments, and focus magical intent is poured into each rune as they are carved and painted. These runic spears are given a silky smooth finish that is a delight to the touch. Each one is unique, varying slightly in shape and size from 1.5 – 4 inches in length.
Runes: You can select a rune from the traditional Futhark to have carved into your spear, or you can send us your own bindrune or sigil to be carved in. Alternatively, the runeworker can design a custom bindrune tailored to your magical intention.
Materials: You can select your choice of wood and paint materials. Currently available woods are: oak, ash, madrone, holly, maple, walnut, and cherry. Currently available pigments are: woad, ochre, dragon’s blood, lightning-struck oak charcoal, gold leaf, and silver leaf.
